Centers - using the tools from "Simply Move it"

11/26/2013

On this edition of "Simply Move It" we are looking at centers using the tools from the "Simply Move It" e-workbook.
When skating the Waltz 8 and a Circle 8 the center is where the two circles meet. The long axis goes through the length of the to circles. This is what makes it the long axis. The short axis goes across the center of the two circles.
For both the forward and backward centers the push should be one blade length from the long axis and the step down is on the short axis.
The next time you go to skate a center think about where your pushes and step downs need to be place in relation to the long and short axis.
See you on the ice!

You will find geometry diagrams and definitions, pages to draw your patterns and video demonstrations. You can print any page necessary. Each chapter has quizzes on a pattern, diagrams and terms. Every workbook ends with a glossary of terms used in the book. The youtube video shows you the inside of the book.
