I have known and worked closely with her in my company for nearly ten years. Right from her first interview, I have always been highly impressed with her.
Jennifer started working with us as a coach in our Learn to Skate program. Soon thereafter, she was helping us with all of our programs. She has shown a great capacity to work with both children and adults. She is great at multitasking and is always very organized and focused. One of her best characteristics is her initiative. She is always thinking ahead and will follow through with any project. She is now the director of our skating program and I couldn’t ask for a better person. I have the deepest respect for Jennifer and I highly recommend her. Regards, Dan M This website is very inviting and professional. Every figure skater could benefit from this experience.
Kathy L Hi Jen!
I just purchased pre-juv and juv. I look forward to receiving them. the Novice Simply Move It really helped my students! I had an Adult student, Barbra, purchase Pre-Bronze. She loves it and says it is really making it easier for her to understand the concepts of Moves! Thanks so much! Gina T :) |
Jennifer has great ability to teach to a variety of age levels. I have seen her effectively do so with my daughter’s lesson, and also while observing her teach skating to children from a preschool age and up. I have seen her function in a programming director’s role at both Cairns Arena and for the Champlain Valley Skating Club. Last year I took group lessons at Cairns and she personally instructed me and at the same time had elementary school children in the same group. She was able to differentiate her instruction to everyone and make the lessons engaging for all. She brings fun “toys” to the ice for children, and has encouraged other instructors to do the same. I also volunteer to help her with the Learn to Skate program she began directing this fall for the Champlain Valley Skating Club. She is excellent at taking initiative and in working with people. She was creative in using a variety of marketing modes to attract students to the classes. She is also very conscientious about assuring that students are satisfied with the content of the classes and welcomes feedback on this.
Jennifer is always easy to work with in planning our schedule with her and in other aspects of my daughter’s skating program, such as short and long range goals and ice programs. She is creative in putting together choreography for ice programs along with my daughter. She is flexible and understanding of everyone’s needs when we work together. It is apparent that Jennifer naturally loves working with children and takes pride in their accomplishments. She beams with joy when my daughter accomplishes a particular skating task and sometimes takes video or texts me to share this with me. My daughter has participated for the last two summers at Lake Placid with Jennifer and her mother when they take a small group of girls into her mother’s home for one to two weeks at a time for a skating camp experience. They provide exceptional care to the girls beyond what one might expect from a general boarding situation. They cook for the girls and take them on an outing each night. These weeks are outstanding experiences that my daughter cannot wait to participate in each summer. As a mother I not only value the quality of the skating instruction that Jennifer provides to my daughter, but also the opportunity that my daughter has to spend with such a positive adult model. I am also a Speech Language Pathologist and work in an elementary school, which provides me a broader spectrum to recognize Jennifer’s skills with working with children. I would highly recommend Jennifer in any role that involves working with children. Sincerely, Deborah S. K |
